DESCRIPTION OF OUR MINOR LEAGUE
Minor: Recommended for 9 and 10 year olds. Among teammates of their own age and experience level, players continue building and refining their fundamental skills while they begin to understand game strategy. It is at the minor league level that players first experience post-season tournament competition, with district, state, and regional levels of play.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT OUR MINOR LEAGUE
Players now pitch to one another rather than hitting off of a pitching machine or tee. Players also learn to steal bases for the first time.

All players will play on both offense and defense. Pitchers can only appear in two innings per game, maximum of two games per week. This forces coaches to develop more pitching talent as well as give other players a chance to pitch.

At the end of the regular season, all minor team will play against each other in a park tournament to determine a league champion. All players on the championship team will receive a trophy at closing ceremonies.

An all-star team will be made up of the best players from each of the teams and will have the opportunity to compete and represent our park at the district, state and regional tournaments.
